Download button on New Thank you page
If your Shopify store features the new Thank You and Order Status pages, follow the steps in this article to add a download button, providing instant access to purchased digital products for an enhanced customer experience. For new stores, if enabled, the download button will appear by default on these pages. This guide will show you how to seamlessly integrate this feature using the Filemonk app, ensuring that customers can easily download their purchases immediately after checkout.
For the download button to appear on the Thank you page, please make sure you have the setting enabled in the app.
Login into Shopify admin and select "Settings" from the left menu bar.
Click on 'Checkout' from the left bar to access the settings where you can customize various aspects of the checkout process. Once done, click on the dropdown for "Your Thank you and Order status pages must be replaced" and click on the "View pages" button.
On the customization page, click on "Add App block" on the bottom left and click on "Filemonk - Digital Products" from the list. The app block is now added, click on the "back arrow" on the screen to head to the customization page.
The "Access downloads" button is now visible on the Thank you page preview on the right. Drag and position the app block/button by moving over the Filemonk app block and placing either above/below the other contents of the page to ensure it is easily visible to the customers.
Once you've previewed the thank you page and completed the setup, click 'Publish' to apply the changes.
To set the download button for the Order Status, click on "Thank you" dropdown on the top of the checkout customization page and choose "Order status". Once done, follow the same steps used to set up the download button on the "Thank you" page.
If you're uncertain about how the download button will appear on the Thank You page / Order status page, we recommend placing a test order to verify its placement and functionality.
