Method 1: Using a 100% Discount Code

Steps to Create a 100% Discount Code

Access Discount Section: In your Shopify admin, go to Discounts.
Create Discount: Click on Create discount and select Discount code.
Setup Discount Details: Enter a name for the code, like TESTORDER.
Discount Type: Choose Percentage and set it to 100%.
Apply to Products: Specify that the discount applies to all products or select specific ones.
Save Discount: Save the discount code.

Placing a Test Order

Add a digital product to the cart, and apply the discount code at checkout. Complete the purchase process.

Method 2: Using Shopify’s Bogus Gateway

Setting up Bogus Gateway

Navigate to Payment Providers: In Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.
Choose Bogus Gateway: In the Accept credit cards section, click Add a provider > Third party credit card provider > Bogus Gateway.
Activate the Gateway: Click Activate to enable it.

Filemonk has multiple plans, each designed to be as affordable as possible through every stage of your Shopify journey. All plans have an order limit, and you should select one based on how many orders you expect to get per month. All plans are subject to a fair usage policy.

To see the latest plans and their prices, click 'Plans' in the left menu bar. Click on each of the plans to see the features.

What do you mean by "order limit"? Order limit is the number of digital orders Filemonk will process for a billing cycle. For example - on the Lite plan, Filemonk will process upto 100 orders containing digital products per month. The order limit resets every month on the reset date mentioned on the Home page of your Filemonk dashboard.

Does the size of files or number of downloads affect the order limit? No, your usage of Filemonk is only based on the number of orders. Customers can download the file as many times as they want to, and there's no limit on size of file either. All orders and downloads are subject to a fair usage policy.

What happens if I cross the order limit? On the Free plan, Filemonk will stop processing orders. You need to upgrade your plan to ensure customers get their downloads.

To start selling digital content on your Shopify store, you need to link your files to products in Filemonk. The first step in this process is uploading your files.

To upload files, click 'Files' in the left menu bar. Next, select one of the following:

Upload to Filemonk Click 'Upload files' to upload one or more files to Filemonk.

Add a link Click 'Create file from link' to add a link to a file uploaded to Google Drive, Dropbox or any other platform. Learn more about adding link

Bulk import If you're switching from another app to Filemonk or setting up files in bulk, click 'Import'. Filemonk can use a CSV instruction sheet to upload and link your files to digital products.

After uploading your files, link them to a product listing on your store to make it a digital product. When a customer purchases the digital product, your uploaded files will be made available to download. Learn more here:

Implementation

After verifying your email address, follow these steps to implement the DKIM records:

Head to 'Settings' from left menu bar of the App.
Under the 'Email' section on the page, click "Customize email".
A banner 'DKIM Verification' will be visible on the page.

Click on 'Download Records' to download the DKIM records and follow the instructions below to set it up.

The DKIM records will be in the format as shown below:

How to set up

Step 1: Create Shopify product listing Follow this guide to create a Shopify product listing for your custom service in Shopify admin. If you have multiple custom products, create a Shopify product for each of them.

Step 2: Make it a digital product After creating the product in Shopify admin, click "More Actions" towards the top right corner of your screen and hit "Manage digital downloads". You'll be redirected to Filemonk.

On this page, enable 'Sell as a custom product'. Your product is now ready to be purchased!

Note: Orders that have contain only custom products will not have emails sent automatically. Please check step 5 for more information on how to send emails for orders with custom products.
