Understanding Plan Limits

Filemonk uses two main types of limits to ensure fair resource usage across all merchants. Understanding these limits helps you choose the right plan and manage your usage effectively.

Order Limit Explained

Order limit refers to the number of digital orders Filemonk will process during a billing cycle. On the Free Start plan, Filemonk processes up to 50 orders containing digital products per month. The order limit resets every month on the reset date displayed on your Filemonk dashboard home page.

  • Free plan: 50 orders per month maximum
  • All paid plans: Unlimited orders
  • Reset schedule: Monthly on your plan reset date
  • Important note: File size and number of downloads do not affect the order limit

Storage Limit Details

Storage limit represents the total size of all files you can upload to Filemonk throughout your app usage lifetime. This limit does not reset monthly and applies to the cumulative size of all your uploaded files.

  • Free Start: 50MB total storage
  • Lite: 10GB total storage
  • Plus: 100GB total storage
  • Pro: 1TB total storage
  • Management tip: Delete unused files or move files to Google Drive/Dropbox and link them to reduce storage usage

What is Fair Usage Policy

The fair usage policy refers to the total gigabytes (GB) of data downloaded per month. While Filemonk allows customers to download files as many times as they want and there is no limit on the size of files for individual orders, there is an overall monthly data/download usage limit in place to ensure fair usage of resources. If the total data usage exceeds the limit in your plan, additional charges may apply. This policy ensures that all users have access to fair and adequate resources without any single user disproportionately affecting the service quality for others. Please refer to the table below for plan limits and additional charges per plan.

Plan

Monthly Fair Usage Policy

Additional Charges

Lite

10TB

$0.050 per GB above fair usage policy limit

Plus

10TB

$0.050 per GB above fair usage policy limit

Enterprise

15TB

$0.050 per GB above fair usage policy limit

Pro

15TB

$0.050 per GB above fair usage policy limit

What happens when I exceed the fair usage policy limit?

When you exceed the fair usage policy limit, a team member from Filemonk will reach out to you. We will walk you through corrective actions - such as uploading your files to Google Drive or Dropbox. By taking corrective actions, you can reduce your bandwidth and avoid any charges for fair usage policy.

Our team will do their best to reach out to you repeatedly until we hear from you. In case we don't hear from you, your store's downloads will be blocked. At this point, you can reach out to us to unblock the downloads and take one of the following actions -

  1. Upgrade your plan to increase the fair usage policy limit.
  2. Upload your files to Google Drive or Dropbox, and link them to products in Filemonk.
  3. Agree to the fair usage policy charges mentioned above.

If you agree to the fair usage policy charges, downloads from your store will be enabled and a new billing cycle will begin. Filemonk will charge you for additional usage only if you exceed the fair usage policy limit in the new billing cycle.
