Disable access for refunded, partially refunded or cancelled orders

Filemonk introduces a feature that enhances your digital content's security by automatically disabling access to files for orders marked as refunded, partially refunded, or cancelled. This update ensures that customers can no longer download content from orders that are no longer valid, protecting your digital products effectively.

First, make sure to mark the order(s) as refunded and partially refunded on Shopify admin.

How to automatically disable access

From your Filemonk dashboard, navigate to 'Settings' via the left menu bar.
Scroll to locate the section titled 'Refunded or Cancelled Orders'.
Activate this security feature by clicking on 'Turn On'.

With this feature enabled, Filemonk takes proactive steps to secure your content. Access to downloads will be automatically disabled for any order that is fully refunded or cancelled. In the case of partial refunds, the restriction will apply only to the specific products within an order that were refunded, maintaining access to the rest as per the original purchase conditions.

Monitoring Access Status in Filemonk

You can easily monitor the access status of any order directly from the 'Orders' tab. Each order's notes column will indicate whether it has "Partial Access" (only a few items in the orders was refunded) or "Access Disabled" (fully refunded) providing clear, at-a-glance information about the download rights associated with each purchase.
