Send download links for orders without an email

Filemonk typically requires an email to send download links for digital purchases. However, recognizing that some customers may only provide a phone number, Filemonk has updated its process. Now, the system avoids sending emails when only a phone number is provided and clearly indicates when an email delivery attempt has failed.

Where to check

Orders Page: Go to the 'Orders' page from the left menu in Filemonk. Search for a particular order and look in the 'Note' column for a message that says "Delivery failed" next to the order. This means that the customer did not receive an email with the download link to access their files.

Order Details: Click on any order to view more. If the email wasn't delivered, you'll see "Email not delivered" at the top right of the page.

How to resolve

From the detailed order page, click 'Send Email' located at the top right.
Enter the customer's email address in the provided field and click 'Send email'.
Verify that the email was successfully sent to the customer by checking the "Events" section for confirmation details.

How to avoid failed email delivery

To make it easier for customers, it is highly recommended to add a download button directly to the thank you page that allows customers who provided a phone number during checkout to access their files immediately after purchase without needing to navigate through emails.

Filemonk is exploring the possibility of sending download links via SMS, which would further streamline access for customers who prefer mobile communication.
